BELONGING

the way of my awakening

von Cherie Haydon,
a friend of mine, who is enjoying to share this with us

All these years,
Wanting to belong,
Wanting to fit in,
Longing, oh the longing
So much has changed
So little has changed
Where do I begin?
Where do I end?

From the beginning, the initial breath
Was captured in my heart
And it changed my life forever
And then I knew/sensed how
Others looked at me.
Trying to understand
Searching for the truth
Reaching to understand
And then shoving me away.

How far did I go?
When did I return?
When I realized that I was different
How did I remain sane?
I knew in my heart
That I must go on, go on…

 So I moved inside myself
Began to search my heart
Began to search my soul
And I kept on, I kept on…

 As the years went on,
I read and toiled on
Turning over every leaf, every stone
I could find.

 In searching for the answers,
I moved deeper into another world
And began to free my soul.

Years passed and I began to awaken
To new beginnings
Of a different kind
And what did I find?

Myself, reflected through so many beautiful souls
Just like me, who had spent the same amount of diligence
Returning back to the Self
Again and again.

 Searching for the absolute truth
The proof that time forgot
Searching, searching, reaching

 Relentless, spirited investigations,
Mind-boggling truths to decipher
Moving through thousands of books
Never satisified until the Light came on!
Yes, the light!

And when that light came on,
It was not without a glimmer of truth
And the flicker turned into a flame
And the flame burned stronger
Till the flame consumed me
And I fell into a deep slumber
And when I awoke----
A fire was burning brightly
And I vowed to never, EVER
let it go out!

So while the fire was kept alive
Through more knowledge
Fanning the flames, I reached out
And tested the waters
And what did I find?

People whose flames were burning too!
Some were barely awake
Some were joyously pursuing how
To keep their own light burning just as I was!

So we began to break out of our cocoons
And dance in the sunlight
And watched the shadows
Wondering how do we keep the
Darkness out?
How do we stay alive forever, now that we are awake?

And through the books that showed
Such promise, such hope,
We dance to the lightness that
Was spreading further within us.

How do we keep the flame alive?
By sharing and meeting others
The same kindred hearts.

So the internet proved such a
Captivating tool
So much to cultivate and assimilate
Very much like going back to school!

 And during this time,
We stepped out of the shadows
Cast our flames to unite
And danced to our hearts content
Waiting for the night.

But what did it matter?
Oh it mattered, it really mattered
For we were becoming whole
No longer shattered or battered
We stepped up to the plate
And we learned it was not too late
That we began to remember,
Who we were and that’s all that mattered.

During this time, the longing returned
Still trying to find “home”, where was our home?
And some of us realized
That it was only a matter of time.

Before we found what we were searching for
Only a matter of time
Before the tools would appear
Only a matter of time
To find that the angels were near
That they had never left us—
It was we—who left them
Or so we thought at the time.

For all this time, we thought we were alone
Never realizing the truth
Of how far we had come!

And the truth of the matter
Oh it matters—it really does matter!
We began to remember:
Who we were;
Why we came;
When we came here (before)
And what we were doing here (again)

For we are the survivors
Of countless lives past (passed)
We came bearing gifts
Of treasures and blueprint maps

And it was only a matter of time
As we began to piece it all together
Only a matter of time
To choose old energy or new
To take the leap or not,
To choose past, present, or future
Only a mater of time
To re-create our Nows
Into our perceptions
Of our truth.

We began together
Then we fell apart
And separated
And now,
The reunion of Spirit!

The longing has moved
To the distant past
We moved and shook
Our old worlds apart.

And in our separation
As we moved apart
We put ourselves back together again
Now we have met through our hearts
As we promised we would

It was only a matter of time
As new tools re-appeared
We are creating new ones
As we move along
Casting out old ones
Re-aligning ourselves.

For many of us,
We love all,
Support all
Light the way for others
To choose to follow or not
We teach what we’ve learned
We study and absorb
As we observe the
Re-shaping of human kind.

The struggles have been many
Too many to count
We’ve released all the worries
And we’re releasing the doubts
e believe, therefore, we are
Too many to count
Many are awakening
Too many to count
We are embracing our darkness
As it blends into our light
We are moving forward
Where there is only light.

We are eternal
With flames that burn brightly
Many more are joining us
Too many to count

We shed our old clothes
And have re-birthed anew
New skin, expanded hearts,
New chakras, new dimensions,
All of it new.
As we embrace who we are
And as we step out
The shadows have diminished
For we are no longer separate
We are within the Oneness

Within each of us is a
Divine being sprouting
New wings and ready to
fly within new realms.

The main difference this time
Is we remember who we are
And why we came together
To birth a new world
Directly linked to our Creator.

We stopped the clock and moved
Outside of time and space
We’ve found our divinity
Inside/out not outside/in

As we re-write history
New beginning never told before
Not even before a campfire
Where myths, ghosts and legends brew
Never before, we are creating anew
Time stands still as we are
No longer in it, except as a “tool”.

For Creators, we are
We’ve come from afar
Joining one heart to another
In union of all that we are.

The Love is so special
As we align ourselves up towards it,
We gladly embrace it
As this is why we’ve come
To relish and enjoy it,
To live and love it and share it

There’s nothing can come close to it by far!
So I salute all those who’ve come
And those that help lead the way
To shine and share it today and every day!

I honor, respect, and love all who we are
We’ve worked so hard every day of the year
Let us nourish our spirits one heart at a time
And always remember to love yourself

As NOW IS THE TIME!!
